Tenants come and tenants go. It is the nature of the business your are in. It also is an unfortunate reality that these tenant moves can cause great inconvenience in the form of gas service disruptions and the loss of time spent to re-establish the gas service.

Reduce Service Connection Hassles

Often the result of tenant turnover is a disruption of gas service which requires property managers and owners to take the time to schedule reconnection of the service. There is an easier way. Enroll in the Automatic Name Change Program (ANCP) and these inconveniences can be a thing of the past.

With ANCP, there are no service initiation fees, no phone calls to schedule reconnection, no time spent providing access to the unit and no disruption in gas service.

How ANCP Works

Step 1: Click here to download your ANCP enrollment contract.

Step 2: Enroll your property by completing the ANCP contract. Return the completed form via email to ANCP@washgas.com or fax it to 703-750-4441.

Step 3: Complete a move out form and submit it to Washington Gas at least 72 hours before a tenant departs. Gas service will be transferred automatically into your name.

Step 4: Complete a move in form and submit it to Washington Gas at least 72 hours before a new tenant will be occupying the unit. Gas service will be transferred automatically into the new tenant's name.
